One of my favorite parts about the holiday season is wrapping gifts. Some people love it, some people loathe it. I fall into the former category. I love scouring Pinterest for some unique gift wrapping ideas. Here are some favorites I have come across!

Just a heads up - Tuesday, December 15 (tomorrow!) is the last day to place orders for the holidays. This is to ensure that your orders arrive in a timely manner since we all know how slammed the USPS is right now! Order boxes of Christmas cards so you can send some fun mail to your friends, gift tags to dress up your holiday presents, notepads and art prints for the cactus or flower loving friend or family member in your life, or thank you cards for all of the notes you'll be writing post-holidays! Thanks so much for shopping small and supporting my business this holiday season!

I've completed a few new pieces of hand embroidered artwork in the past few weeks and have just listed them in the online shop! I have shared some behind-the-scenes looks at these pieces on Instagram when they were just works in progress. Here they are in their finished framed and matted form.
Rainbow Flowers on Turquoise Linen: A bright and bold piece. The various colors of the flowers really pop off of the turquoise linen.
Prickly Pear Cactus and Wildflowers on Natural Linen: I've done a few different versions of this design. This is the first one with the pink prickly pear bulbs. It was inspired by my time living in Austin and the beautiful wildflowers that bloomed each spring.
Rainbow Flowers Square on Blue Linen: Hands down one of my favorite pieces I've stitched to date. It's a larger square (3.25" across) with some intricately stitched flowers. This piece took a number of hours to complete and I will be sad to part with it!

One of my favorite holiday activities is wrapping gifts. Some people loathe it, but I love picking out a paper and ribbon and strategizing how to best wrap a gift. You can't forget the gift tag! Here are Happy Cactus Designs' best selling tags. They are sold in sets of 10 and come with red and white bakers twine!

1. The stacked triangles frame from Leif is perfect for a family snapshot.
2. A sweet seersucker tie from Forage will have dad summer-ready.
3. Match Pewter rocks glasses are a classic.
4. No dad can go without a multi-purpose tool. This is a great one from Bear & Son Cutlery out of Alabama.

I'm very excited about this year's collection of gift tag stickers. Last year, I offered flat gift enclosure cards that were a huge hit. Based on customer feedback, this year I'm offering gift tag stickers. Each sticker tag measures 2" x 3.5" (the size of a standard business card). The tags are printed on uncoated paper, making it easy to write on with any type of pen or marker. They are sold in quantities of 24 and arrive on sheets so you don't have to worry about a messy stack of tags while you are busy wrapping.
To order, please visit the holiday tag page for more details and pricing. The tags can be customized with any message you want! Order for yourself or they also make the perfect gift for friends, family, neighbors, and teachers.
Check out the fun and festive tag styles below!

We're so thrilled and thankful to have our Merry Christmas Rainbow Dots card featured in Discover Paper's amazing 2012 Holiday Guide (check us out on page 45!). Donaville Herrick, the curator behind the popular paper blog, and her contributors have put together a fabulous digital guide full of holiday cards, DIY paper projects, gift ideas, and more. I am particularly fond of the entire section devoted to different types of calendars - I'm having a hard time choosing which one I want for my office!
Carve out some time to swoon over paper goods and check out the guide here!
